so its the weekend, yay! gonna enjoy my last week of not working by going to the ocean for the weekend with my family and then joined by my girls brina and liz for a couple days to have a little fun…can’t wait for them to get there to enjoy a mikes by the beach and experience liz’s delicious signature drink after naps :) no internet there either, so time for a little detachment, should be relaxing…back in a week

home.

so i’ve been home for two whole days now, its weird to have so much time to myself and not people my age everywhere around me but it’s a nice break.  got to see two of my best friends on tuesday and it was nice to catch up with them, i’ve missed them both so much.  i have missed my family a lot too, but i didn’t realize how little patience i have now that i’ve been away from small children for so long.  my sisters are great, but remember those annoying songs you used to sing in elementary school and the stories you would tell a million times that weren’t even funny the first time…well they are at that stage and i don’t know how my parents had the patience for it with me because it’s pretty much non existent in me.  can’t wait for this summer to really start, so many new people from school to go visit, different places to explore, finally escape the little bubble that is annapolis for awhile.  also determined to read at least 5 books this summer…may not seem like much but for a slow reader such as myself it’s just enough, first two books: on the road by jack kerouac and the girl with the dragon tattoo by steig larsson, they both sound much better than the ethnography’s i’ve been stuck reading this past semester.  as for memorial day weekend, off to ocean city with the family and hopefully a little longer with some friends before i start working…need to get a tan my italian self is looking a little pale…anyway i think i’m gonna try and start writing about my summer daily, not like i’m off doing anything overly exciting, but it’s a way to make my blog a little more personal i suppose instead of just reblogging really awesome pictures all day
